Haul trucks, excavators and dozers counted at every pit you track.

Mine Fleet OEM Share reads a monthly very-high-resolution pass over each active pit and sends back a fleet roster by machine class and manufacturer type, as a table you can load into your own model.

The files

Files delivered with each pass
No.FileFormatWhat's in it
01Pit-by-pit fleet rosterTable, one row per pit per class per monthFor each pit you track and each pass: the count of haul trucks, excavators and dozers, grouped by size class and by the manufacturer-type cues visible from above. A pit with no machines visible gets a row that says so. Comes every month, after the pass.
02Time seriesTable, one row per pit per class per passThe same counts stacked pass over pass, so you can see the mix move: a class growing at one pit, a manufacturer-type group shrinking at another. Extends by a pass every month.
03Market-level rollupTable, totals across pitsRoster totals across every pit on your list, by class and manufacturer-type group. It is a sum of what was counted at the pits you named, not an estimate of the whole market.
04Pass date and image notesDated note per passThe date of each pass and a note where cloud, shadow or a partly visible pit limited what could be counted.

Section B · Pipeline

How it works

  1. Pit list in

You send the pits or the region to track. A name and a location per pit is enough to start.

  2. Monthly pass

We collect a VHR pass over each pit every month.

  3. Count and group

Haul trucks, excavators and dozers are found in the image, counted, and grouped by size class and by the manufacturer-type cues that show from above.

  4. Roster out

You get the roster and the time series for each pit, with the pass date and notes on anything the image did not show.

Section C · Operating envelope

Limits

Operating limits of the monthly roster
ConditionWhat it means for the roster
Resolution sets the groupingAt 0.5 m a pixel is about 20 inches across. A haul truck is many pixels long, so it counts and sorts by size class. Smaller machines are harder to tell apart, and a cue like a cab position only shows when the image is sharp and the machine is in view. Grouping by manufacturer type is a best match to what is visible, not an identification.
No brand confirmationA logo, a badge or a serial number is not readable from above. The roster never says a machine is a particular brand, only which group its shape falls in.
Cloud and shadowOptical imagery needs a clear pass. A cloudy month can leave a pit partly or wholly uncounted, and deep shadow in a pit wall can hide machines. The delivery notes where that happened.
Surface pits onlyUnderground fleets are not visible and are not covered.
Cadence is a targetMonthly is the aim. A pass can slip when the sky does not clear.
Counts and mix, nothing elseThe roster gives machines and their mix. It does not estimate tonnage, output, utilization or production.

Section D · Background

Why this exists

Today a competitor's installed base comes from delivery announcements, fleet lists in industry databases, a site visit now and then and what dealers say. Each source is dated and partial, and none of them says what is working in the pit this month.

The pit in your model is a guess with a last-updated date, and the market-share slide carries all of them. A monthly count from above gives you something you can repeat and compare, pit to pit and month to month.

Section E · Fit

Who it's for

For

  • OEM market-intelligence and competitive-intelligence analysts sizing an installed base by pit
  • Analysts who load a roster into their own model and compare months
  • Pilots on a defined list of pits or a region

Not for

  • Confirming a machine's brand or model
  • Underground mines
  • Tonnage, production or utilization estimates
  • Machines inside a building or under cover
  • A live feed of what is working in the pit right now

Section F · Questions

Questions before a pilot

Does it confirm the exact OEM brand?

No. Machines are grouped by size class and by visible manufacturer-type cues. That is a grouping, not a logo read.

What format does the roster come in?

A table file a spreadsheet or database can open, with the pit, the pass date, the class and the counts. We will confirm the exact formats when we scope the pilot.

How do we check it against what we know?

Pick pits where you already know the fleet, send us the list without the answers, and compare our roster with yours.

What if a pit is quiet that month?

The roster reports what was visible in that pass, including no active units seen.

Can it count underground fleets?

No. It reads surface pit operations only.

How current is monthly?

Each roster is tied to the date of its pass. It is not a live feed, and a cloudy month can push a pass back.

Does it estimate tonnage or output?

No. It gives machine counts and mix.

Who owns the imagery and the results?

Ownership and licence terms are agreed in writing when the pilot is scoped. If your legal team needs them sooner, ask.

How is it bought and priced?

Tell us your list of pits and we will scope a pilot to it. Pricing is agreed when the pilot is scoped.

Start a pilot on your target pits.

Send the pits you want sized. We will tell you what a monthly pass can show at each one.
